The practical reality of Cloud
Cloud computing has reached its tipping point. After months of hype, the promise of massive cost reduction has finally conquered organisations’ lingering concerns about security and service levels.
The question for IT directors is no longer if they will adopt cloud computing but when and how. According to an independent survey by Loudhouse Research, only 17 per cent of organisations failed to join the cloud revolution in 2010, with 60 percent taking a proactive company-wide approach and 23 per cent opting for a more measured and selective adoption strategy.
