Member event: Cloud Industry Forum members meeting

  • Date: Wednesday 14 April, 2021
  • Time: 10am - 12noon

We are delighted to confirm the date for our next members’ meeting.

We have three fantastic discussion topics already confirmed:

Tax update for the UK Tech sector following Brexit and the latest “COVID response” Budget.

Tax experts Chris Denning, Head of Corporate International Tax and John Rossiter, Director of Indirect Tax from MHA Macintyre Hudson will offer some insights into any key announcements for the UK tech sector contained in the 2021 Spring Budget and reflect on “where we are we now” and “where we are going” from a fiscal perspective a few months after leaving the EU and dealing with the COVID 19 pandemic.

Leading in the Next Normal: A Guide to Building an Engaged, Resilient and Agile Virtual Workforce, from R. Michael Anderson.

COVID and the resulting pandemic has brought about more change than anyone could have predicted.   Managers and executives at all levels had to deal with these unprecedented challenges with no help, assistance, or support…until now.   We are delighted to host the bestselling author R. Michael Anderson as he provides the 12 Principles for reshaping how to lead in this "Next Normal" and beyond.

Bloor's Public, Private, Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Trail

Paul Bevan, Bloor's Research Director for IT Infrastructure, uses their latest research to help us navigate the different paths and technical decisions facing IT leaders and developers choosing between Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Compute Platform (GCP), along with IBM Cloud, open-source and the non-aligned commercial tools you might need to assemble and utilise on your particular Cloud journey.

In addition we will have our usual agenda items with a business update, future topics and an address from our Chairman.
