Outsourcery

Joint CEO

Piers Linney is first and foremost an entrepreneur who draws upon a wide breadth of professional experience.

After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Accounting and Law, Piers qualified as a solicitor in the City. He specialised in private equity and venture capital at the law firm SJ Berwin.

He joined Barclays de Zoete Wedd (BZW) in 1997, working in the bank's UK corporate finance division, which was subsequently acquired by Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). At CSFB, Piers worked in mergers and acquisitions.

Piers left the banking world in 2000 to start an Internet-based research business just before the technology bubble burst. He then became COO of a London-based online music retail, DJ management, radio production and events company.

Piers returned to the City's Square Mile and the world of corporate finance in 2003, becoming CEO of a venture capital fund and re-branding it Tower Gate Capital.

In March 2007, Piers and Simon Newton structured a management buyout of Genesis Communications (which has been re-branded Outsoucery) from DSG International plc. Outsourcery now has an annual turnover of £60 million.
